RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS

Dear family and friends of Latin Evangelical Church, we greet you in the love of the Lord, hoping that you will be filled with his peace and hope.

We want to inform you about our response to the COVID-19 virus. As an evangelical church, our goal is to care for God’s family and our community. Therefore, we join the efforts of the authorities to combat this virus. The church will be subject to government suggestions as long as they do not violate our fundamental values and doctrines.

We invite you to join us in Worshiping God with us here in person or from home and receive God’s word for your lives, every Sunday at 9:00 AM, 11:15 AM and 1:30 PM in English.

We ask that you join in prayer and fasting with us. Pray for the families of the Church. Pray for the families around the world who are affected by this virus. Pray for a global recovery soon. Join the chain of fasting and prayer.

Our church takes the health of every congregation very seriously. The church is being disinfected every day before and after each event. We have installed hand sanitizers around the church. We have installed portable sinks around the premises. We ask that everyone practice good hygiene by washing their hands regularly. Also, for mutual care, we ask that if you are ill, have a history of respiratory health problems, or a weak immune system, please refrain from being in public places and in church services. We will be practicing a brotherhood of distance and greeting without the use of hands (do not be offended) is for mutual care. The ushers will take your temperature, give you a mask if you don’t have one, and ask you to use hand sanitizer gel. Then the ushers will take you to the most available seat.

Our decisions will continue to be guided by information provided by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We do not live in an attitude of fear, but we are also called to be wise and diligent in our actions.

Let everyone submit to superior authorities because there is no authority that does not come from God; and those that exist have been established by God. – Romans 13: 1
